“It was bliss, very torn about sharing this secret site with outsiders. I needed to change camp sites to a more access friendly one. What I found was this golden nugget. It’s quiet, petit. Has a flushing toilet and a shower so not entirely roughing it. There is Mill pool which is idyllic. Handy extra building with a basic but very usable kitchen and large snug with log fire if needed. The site is clean I would say immaculate for a campsite. It’s perfectly located in a slight valley so you won’t loose your tent in a gale. The pitches are marked, and as its a an elite site plenty of room and no overcrowding. Located within a whisker of Painswick you are not far away from the local shop or local attractions such as the Rococo Gardens, Gloucester Cathedral (tell the kids some of Harry Potter was filmed there) to name but a few. I can even recommend cream tea at The Painswick Hotel which was absolutely delicious if you wanted to go out and eat. I am definitely coming back next year. I enjoyed every minute.” – Natasha
“I just wanted to say thank you for having us – we’ve had THE loveliest weekend. What a glorious spot, it was so peaceful and the children have fallen in love with your friendly cows! We’ll definitely be back.” – Cathy
“Best campsite on the Cotswold Way. Really well set up for hikers – and walking distance to the pub after a long day – really well done.

P.S. What an amazing job you have done creating this lake. Looks like it has always been there!”

“Thank you for such a wonderful stay in this beautiful area. We have fell in love and will most certainly be returning.
To other guests there is a walking booklet on the side which takes you round the cricket pitch and includes ALPACAS! Would highly recommend! (Take a sandwich for when you reach the cricket pitch, the views are beautiful and if you don’t finish them you can give a little to the alpacas 🙂
The Oak pub does an amazing lamb shank for all the meat eaters out there. I hope you have as much fun on your trip as we have.
Thank you again Rachel” – Ash and Matt
